Yes. that was done very early on. friend, you forgot to mention the injector. also swapped and no change. FWIW, the mileage on both trucks is almost the same. 240K on #1 and 250K on #2. It's really hard to say for certain without hearing the actual sounds. Yes! Most 97-02 models are right about that number of miles these days. I have two 99s that are about 245K. After a timing chain and guides replacement and maybe also the intake manifold whenever it gets to that point for you, there is absolutely no reason that the old girl can't do another...- BrentDJ

FWIW, I just replaced the rear trailing arms and end links on my 99. I recommend that you go with the Moog K80103. The design is improved from the OEM. You might just buy the Moog bushings. But for just a few dollars more you can get the entire arm with bushings. On the set I just got...- BrentDJ
