Maybe open up the cluster and move it by hand?

No not hard at all just like normal, and it shifts just like normal,

once i get the selector to "L" it seems to move a little more to the right past the L but just stays there once i shift back ( trying to move the selector )

I found out what it was!

its a very small cable under the dash near the brake pedal, with a screw type wheel adjuster ( wich broke ) ive glued it together and now it works , here are some pics incase anyone else has the same problem. all this small cable does is move the Prnd) arow to the side.

Old thread but it served me well.
It takes allot of turns of the black wheel to move the indictator a 1/4" and no panels had to be removed.
Thanks guys! :handshake:
