Expansion valve is stuck open or closed if the blend door is not stuck on heat.

Having the same issue with my rear a/c... just replaced compressor, condenser, and drier but did not replace exp valve. Problem was not an internal compressor failure so I skipped that step. There was no issue with the rear air working prior to failure. Could that still be the issue and how do I determine if the blend door is not working?
