Hello,
I'm new here and not sure how this works, but here's my problem. Hoping someone can help me.
About a month ago, engine was missing, check engine light indicated a misfire in one of the spark plugs. I had all plugs changed and a coil. Drove a lot better for about a week or less.
Engine begins missing again, light indicates that it is the EGR valve. I had it not just cleaned, but completely replaced on Friday. My truck drove like a new one that night on about a 100 mile trip.
The next day, it was still running well, but I stopped at an ATM and I did not notice any missfire, rough idle or anything, and it just died. Like someone turned the ignition off. I started it right back up.........and it felt a little rougher idling, but no major deal.
As the day went on, the more I drove, the worse it drove. It feels about like driving a log wagon now. =)
Anyway, went and had the check engine light interpreted and it gave not one, but FIVE codes.
1)P0174-Fuel trim bank two condition
2)P1405-dpfe sensor upstream hose off or plugged
3)P1131-Lack of bank 1 02 at its lean limit
4)P0171-Fuel trim bank one condition
5)P1151-Lack of 02 switches-bank 2 sensor 1
I don't know if I should even add this comment or admission in here.....however I will. I can't help but wonder if it may have something to do with it. I have had my truck for about 1 1/2 years now, mother of two kids, full time job, lots of responsibilities, I get easily distracted and neglect to pay attention to my fuel gage at times..........and my fuel dinger does not work. I have neglected to watch the gas hand approximately six times in the time that I have owned it and allowed it to run completely dry of gas. It has always started right up, but I cannot help but worry that I have caused a problem.
Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
