First,I just wanted to ask about the shift on the fly 4x4.I have a 2005 and is that correct? Also,I just came from owning a jeep grand cherokee and I know off road they are great.Just how off road capable is the expedition 4x4.I'm not talking rock crawling, but just basic off road conditions. Thanks in advance.

shift on the is just another way of saying you dont have to go out and lock your hubs. ur cherokee probley had shift on the fly just by pulling up on the lever. unless you had aftermarket locking hubs. thats all it means. theres a memeber here. smooth that has the same model, not sure about the year, but same model as you and his truck went up and down a trail fairly easily last week. it was full of rutts and you needed some good ground clearance. but he did fine. if you want desert these things are great too. just need room thats why i said desert is great.
