I can't find the low pressure port on my AC to charge it. Anyone have a pic of where it is? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

thanks monsta. i really love the layout of this forum, but it seems pretty slow over here. the ford-trucks forum is a little more active, but the layout sucks there. i wish i could find an active expy forum!!

I find that using both fulfills my "activity" needs. :)

What's wrong with the layout over at FTE? Maybe I can get some changes to happen.

just the overall looks on this forum are much more appealing. plus you can't upload pics on the other forum, right? and the fact that you can't post links is also a little dumb.

ARG! i found the hidden port... but charging it didn't help. i checked the fuse relay and also the pressures of both ports and everything checked out ok. i have a strong feeling it's the blend door damnit! $$$$$

i just bought the expy two weekends ago. i saw it on Ebay first and then checked it out in person. i did not buy it through ebay. in the ad (and in person) the owner says the AC needs to be charged. it specifically says it... it's not like it said "the AC doesn't work". and in person and on the phone he said "it just needs to be charged".

i wonder if i have any legal ground to stand on? i never signed anything saying that i bought it as is. even if the owner will pay half it's better than nothing. only problem is if i have to take him to court he lives in upstate NY and i live in south NJ. AND he is a cop!

I guess if he had IN WRTING from a mechanic (or himself0 thta all it needed was re-charging then maybe you'd have some grounds.

As I see (read) it, sounds like the guy just made a wrong mechanically diagnosis.

At FTE you have free gallery space. Upload your pics and then link to them via the provided URLs at the bottom of each picture. they are referred to as "forum codes".

You can post links, too. Bad links will come up at www . ******** . com. Filters catch the offending links.

____________

So what exactly is your AC NOT doing?

Does your rear AC blow cold air?

the compressor turns on (but doesn't cycle on and off), the line gets cold, but only hot air blows out the fron AC vents. the rear AC works fine.

the guy specifically told me the AC only needed to be charged (and since he wrote that on ebay also i think that counts as in writing as well). if i had known it could be a blend door problem i would have offered a lower price. he assured me all it needed was a charge. since he lived 2 hours away taking it to my mechanic wasn't an option. (not to mention tolls + gas for a round trip were about $50).
