Hey everyone,

Me and my g/f recently picked up a 2004 Expedition to tow our 21ft Bayliner with.

I have HID's in my Cobra, as well in my Exploder. I picked up a set for the Expedition as well, b/c once you have HIDs everything else seems to be yellow!

So i goto install them this evening, and i remove the 2 top bolts from the housing, and then the 3 bolt that is vertical behind the housing. And these headlight assemblies just wont come out!!!!

Is there a 4th bolt somewhere?

nope, thats it...just changed mine out from stock to halo's...wiggle it out and check to see if its catching on the inside corner...thats where mine caught up at and a simple thumb push on the frame where it was catching and it came right out...

Yea, make sure the tabs aren't catching on the bumper cover and grille. Just wiggle it around till it comes out.

Unreal. Ok the two boats are the ones on the top of the headlight assembly right? this is unreal, I yanked, hit, shoved and tapped it until the car was rolling back and forward. Those bastards don't want to come out!

There are 2 bolts on the top, and 1 bolt behind the headlight (I think it's silver colored, and vertical). This is the aligning bolt, so all you have to do is loosen it.

Then pull forward until it loosen. From there, make sure none of the tabs are catching on the bumper or grille. You might have to pull a little outwards, as well.

they shouldnt be hard to remove or put back...like ELVATO said...2 bolt you see as you pop your hood then the 1 bolt for alignment...thats it...

The headlight was getting stuck at the bottom, i slide a thin blade in and push in and you could hear it pop loose.

My question now is on the back of the headlight they're those rubber covers over the back of the hi and low beam. do those need to go back on, or should i just cut a slit in them to run the wires for the HID kit through?

what??? are these the new lights or your existing lights...if they are the new ones...you remove them rubber cover and install the lights...

if they're the old one...i dont have a clue as to what you're talking about

I installing an HID Kit, so their are wires that have to run from the headlight to the balister. So I was wondering with those rubber covers on the back of each bulb opening on the headlamp, if i need to put those back on or cut a small slice in them to run the wires for the HID lights through it. and reinstall those rubber grommets.
