Should be something like that. This is where it is at in an 03+ Expy:

I forget who said it was elsewhere on the older ones. But, it should still be on the passenger side of the engine, probably with a black cap. You will probably find two caps. The refill kit should only fit the low side. Follow the instructions on the can.

Also, if you have rear A/C, make sure you have both the front and rear A/Cs set to max when refilling it.

on passenger side of firewall under a plastic cover with 2 wire harnesses, behind side of battery..... look up under all that for a silver cylinder and on it is the low port side for A/C follow lines to it... hard to see it the first time...

hi guys, new to the forum. I'm trying to refill the r134a as well but can't locate the low side port. I believe I'm looking in the right area but still can't specifically see the valve stem. Could someone point me in the right direction?

If you look at both of your pics, it wll be under that black metal braket that is mounted to the firewall holding wire harnesses. There are two I belive 8mm bolts that hold that bracket to the firewall and once you get that off you will be able to see it on the side of the reciver, just follow that metal line, take off the bracket and gently move it to the side, and it will be towards the motor side of the silver canister that is hidden by the bracket. ( if you look really close in the pics you can see the reciver[silver canister])

okay sounds good. I'll be sure to take a picture of the actual port for future reference. Thanks for the help. Why in the world would Ford put it in such an inaccessible area?
