This sounds like my problem tonight. Drove 35 miles then stopped a stop sign And it dies. Try to start and it just cranks. Does that sound like it? What do I tell my mechanic that it probably is and how much should I expect this repair to cost?

It is very easy to repair yourself. Follow the youtube video linked in the first post to see if that is your problem?

If so, swap it out yourself. All you need is very basic tools.

Thanks for the great video! My 2006 truck has been running fine til today when 'no start'. I remembered posts to the forum about no start and check it out. Found this thread and checked the truck. My module was rotted out and after replacement, all's good. Saved me a bunch of time troubleshooting the problem. Thanks again.
