So I get home from work yesterday, im in my garage and notice a gray/black 3 prong power cord hanging out of my front bumper where my foglights are. It's the same kind of cord you would plug into an electrical outlet. Tried to follow it back but it just goes into a wiring harness by the radiator. What the hell is this thing? Maybe I have the first Ford electric vehicle that gets 8 mpg? Anyone?

Block heater, trickle charger? It would be a wild guess because its not factory.

I'ts gotta be a block heater....

Won't be needing that in Phoenix.

Did you run a carfax or autocheck? Has it ever been used up north?

Here's a site you can plug in your vin and it will give you free autocheck:

As already mentnioned, chances are very good it's a block heater.

Up here in the great White North a guy gets upset if it's missing...

See them all over by me. It's probably for the block heater, but not sure why an Arizona truck would need it. lol

Looks like I spoke too soon. It appears it is a factory option.
