Had weird buzzing/Humming back speaker assuming I touched back controls when placing purse on back floor. Hubby tried to with controls to get rid of humming. We were pulling into a drive way when battery light came on and Expedition stalled out. Was able to start Ex back up and drive home .

Did you have the battery disconnected to reset check engine light & 4wd unit.

What year is the Expy??

Have the codes read and post them here on the forum.

If you disconnect the battery it will clear the codes and you will need to drive it to complete the drive cycle for any new codes to appear.

Sounds like one of your problems might be the alternator/battery. Have the battery charged, and alternator checked. Most parts stores like oreillys and such do that for free. Start with basics. Bad alternators can cause radio buzzing and humming. Good luck, Moose.

What those 2 said to start. Battery can be tested easily in seconds at the auto parts store. This is what voltage issues act like, the question is do you have a system problem, or a charge problem. Alt and Batt are the supplies, so start at the watershed.

You can also check each coil on plug particularly the spring. There is a resistor in each spring to suppress radio noise. Also check each spark plug well to see if coolant has seeped inside.
