Searching for ideas or suggestions for accessory options (along with images and/or where-to-buy links) to replace the useless coin holder that comes on the 2WD models? It's the transfer case selector switch on 4WD models. In the image below, it's the round coin holder directly below the A/C vent.

I learned that you can install anything there from a voltage gauge to a clock to a cell phone holder, I just have no idea where to shop for them. Thanks for your contribution!

I want to do that as well on my 08. Preferably I would put a phone holder in its place, but I have an iPhone 6 Plus, so things like that are hard to come by these days.

Alex - did you find a phone holder you're happy with by any chance?

Island - what did you end up doing?

PDQ - I was unable to locate a company that sells these type of products, so I've done nothing yet. The most practical choice for a replacement in my opinion is a cell phone holder. Just wish I could locate a supplier.....still open for recommendations.

Go out and search RAM products, they have many option and work the best. Amazing ideas and they hold during use. Go see what you can find. Amazon, search RAM phone mount.

I own a promotional products company, so I used a sample from one of our vendors and stuck it in the space between the coin holder and the wood trim. It's a little metal magnetic ball swivel that holds onto my phone really solidly. The only issue I'm having, is the Phoenix heat just eats up the 3M glue, so it's having trouble staying stuck.

Pulled out the coin holder in my 2012 Expedition 2wd. Was going to replace it with 12 volt plug. Problem is, the body of the coin holder in the back is different that the 12 volt plug so it doesn't snap in the hole. Any suggestions?

There is a member on here who made and 3-D printed a phone holder just for that spot.
They made a thread on it w/pics. Search this site you will find it.
When someone finds it please come post the link here for everyone else.
