Installing on Board Overhead computer?

So I have a 99 xlt and was wondering (because there's a space for it in the overhead console) if you can add an aftermarket trip computer/compass if one wasn't factory installed?

If yes does anyone have any links to one or any idea how you would install it?

Not sure but it may be possible You may have to have the PCM programed for this to work Again not sure. May be best to check with a dealers service department. I have attached prints for you to see how it would be hooked up
