I'm sure this has been asked before, I did a quick search and nothing came up.

Anywho, I just read a post saying that how much of the second generation expy is same as the first gen so this gave me idea of switching front seats and the second row seatsof first gen with a second generation seats or just the middle row? it would be nice to have that shoulder seat belt in the center seat. but I don't know if it's possible.

Anyone have any information about it? Is it doable?

Not threadjacking.. but just plus 1 on the interior swap as I am also just testing the waters to see if it would be possible to do this with a 2nd gen and put the 3rd gen interior in just for a more updated style/comfort/function.

Since we are on the same topic it doesn't count as thread jacking.

X2. Also interested, as we just picked up a '06 SSV so it doesn't even have carpeting and for some reason cloth front seats and gray leather middle row seats...
Looking forward to some feedback to 'black 4x4's' question.

Definitely count me in for the interested parties. I would have to imagine that the seats would be a bolt in swap, not sure if they would match style wise however. The only things that would have to be confirmed is if the bolt patterns are the same, and if the plugs for any electrics in the seats work between generations. If they do then I would think you will be all set as far as the feasibility of it goes.

A good way to see would be to go to a junkyard and find a 2nd gen and first gen and swap the seats around. It's free and will let you know how it would look and work. Idk if it's the best idea, just one that popped into my head.

Bought the 2nd and 3rd row seats, 2 door panels and center console for close to 600.00. Same style(leather) and color.
Another 200.00 for 2 rear window regulator assemblies.
Now everything matches and works.

Also interested. I want to swap my front seats out for 2nd gen front seats as mine are ripped along the edges pretty bad and cracking on the arm rest
