Is there history of the front power seats have front to rear slop ( movement) when stopping? My 03 moves about a half inch when stopping.

I have a 2000, that has no play. I have had to make spacers for the inside two mounting bolts, it was leaning. Sounds like you've got something loose with track to seat mount. Check to make sure all is tight.

2nd owner, but bought it from my father in law, he owns no tools, so I know it was never messed with. I will have to get under there and see what's going on. Seems like it is in the track, but adjusts back and forth ok.

It's got to be something loose, or broken, always is. Pull the plugs, pull the seat. These seats are easy to find, hell you can order seats and parts online, if you don't want to trudge through wreckers.
