Anyone had front speakers only lower volume. With SCV off and either DSP setting. and set to front fade only. Cut off driving but not sitting. As annoying as it gets. Works fine faded to back only. Sounds like a connection but maybe more serious. Is there something I may do with a harness etc.

You can check the connections at the back of the radio. Beyond that your spending $ unless you have a friend with the same year/model radio.

Mrs. Doghauler here. Thank you for your reply, Stamp. The Expedition is my primary vehicle. We traded my Mountaineer for it last Friday. It sounds like my DH might have misunderstood me. The speakers in the front doors don't cut out. They fade in and out. It doesn't matter if I'm pressing on the gas or not and it happens no matter what I'm playing...the radio, a CD, etc. The back speakers are fine but because my dogs will be riding in the back crated, I don't want to subject them or their ears to our music. I'm taking the truck back to the dealership tomorrow. Any suggestion(s) on what I can tell them to look for?

I don't have the wiring for the 2012s but I would expect the fading in and out to be from the radio not the wiring.

Usually with wiring issues you have it or you don't.

The more info you give them the better it will be for the tech - just be factual and to the point.

Such as front radio speakers fade in and out, rear speakers are fine. Bumps have no effect, same with the audio source - no effect.

I thought I would update this thread in case anybody else might have the same problem in the future.

I didn't take the truck back in. My DH, Les, did some research online and decided to "reboot" the system by setting everything back to factory settings. It worked! We reloaded our phones and music and everything works fine now.
