Best Buy had a deal on this remote start kit couple of weeks ago, 299 which included installation. Since I've been pricing remote start kits, it sounded like a pretty good deal and after doing some research on it, sprung for it. This kit has one small remote fob but with an app can let your smartphone control the actions. Of course, you have to subscribe to the service, but for 49$/year it's not too bad. For 119$/year you can have vehicle tracking and other options, but all I wanted was the remote start feature. Install at Best Buy was today and took around 6 hours for them to complete it. So far, works like a dream and when I used my phone for the first time the vehicle was inside the BB install bay and it received the signal just fine. Even the installer was impressed that it worked inside his shop.

Nice. I was using the Smart Start from Viper but they stopped support on the latest BlackBerry phones. So now I just have the remote start with the Key Fob. I want to get one installed on my Miata but most shops won't touch remote start on a manual car unless you buy the upper market remote starts. I never leave my car in gear unless I am on a real incline (like in SF) but here in NC, no hills where I am.
