We have found information stating multiple possibilities of what the problem is. The dash and stereo are still getting power. Radio will take in and eject CDs and the lights on the instrument panel still light up. We were going to replace the cluster but that in itself has proven difficult. Now we are seeing info stating that it could be the BCM or GEM. Also found info stating it could be a bad ground. Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue and what steps they took to resolve it.

Thanks for any input you can offer!

It is always nice to know what year your expy is. For example if you have a 97-2002 you have a gem module but if you have anything after that you don't have a gem module.

You need to provide better information in detail as to your problems

Insightful Update!

We decided to do a little more research and trouble shooting. We removed the circuit board from the cluster and took it to a computer repair shop. There was too much power to being through the receptors that control all of the above. That had caused the entire circuit board to be done for. Now here is the kicker!! About a year ago the fuse box went bad and had to be replaced. Chuck bought one from a Ford Dealership in Clarksville, TN and it came with fuses already in it. However, there are a few that are higher amps than what they previously were. For example, the one control the cluster was now a 20amp rather than a 10amp.

We did find a used cluster and replaced it. Everything is working as it should now and we're set for out trip.
