Hi all, any help or input would be great.

I just purchased a 2012 Expy Ltd. It has the Navigation and the head rest DVD players.

The first owner purchased the vehicle with the Nav. then added the DVD players at the dealership (so it is still the same system as would come from the factory).

When I press the hard MEDIA button on the navigation unit; I do not have the rear DVD system (DVD A, DVD B) as a soft touch selection.

After reading the manual I find out that this is normal when the DVD's are not installed at the factory.

That begs the question, what does the factory do different from the deal? It is as simple as sending the head unit off to be programed? Can a get a replacement unit that is programed?

Thanks!!
What keywords should I search? (A link to a post would be amazing)

Apparently I suck at searching because I felt like I was the only one that ever had this problem.

Sorry, new to the game...what is the .02?

I emailed "NavRepair" and they said they can program it to show the soft touch rear entertainment buttons. But they didn't mention anything about a harness change.

I assume I need to modify the harness and do the programming?

Any help on what key words to use?

I am sending my head unit to NavRepair. I sent them pictures of what my nav screen looks like when I press the Hard MEDIA button now and what it should look like with factory head rest DVD's.

I've tried searching this forum for the harness I may need, with no luck still. Anyone want to help me out?
