Trying to get the rear toe link apart on my 2007 4WD. It will not come apart.

Any suggestions on a removal technique without ruining the toe link ball joint/boot?

1)Put the nut back on so that the threads are almost at the top of the nut. Use a BFH and "drive that ***** home". You want to hit the face of the nut and not mushroom the threads of the stud.

2) Use a 2 jaw gear puller to put the stud under pressure, again using the BFH on the mount to jar it free.

Thanks. Tried the hammer...no go.

Borrowed the tie rod removal tool from O'Reilly's ... worked.
