hey,
I´m Peter and I live in Alamogordo, NM.

I used to have a 2002 Expedition which I sold 2013. After that we had a BMW X3, but that one wasn´t strong enough, so we decided to get something with a V8 again.

Now we have 2004 XLT advtrac in silver. There are a few things to do but I like it.

I´ll try to upload some pics with my phone in a few minutes.

Peter

thx ;)

yes, it's so much better than the BMW's I6 :D

When I picked up the car yesterday, the brake pedal felt a little bit too soft.
I thought it's maybe better after I changed the brake fluid. This morning I lied under the car and painted the exhaust tip. After I was done I saw that the rear left suspension looked wet.
I removed the tire and saw the metel brakeline was bended and the soft part of the brake line was under the spring. Problem found :D
I will get the new line tomorrow morning :)

Today I also started painting the grille and that one wheel with black plasti dip.

This week I also need to finish everything I need for the camper and I need to paint the other wheels.
And of course I need to clean it up.

Replacing a soft line like that is so much easier than trying to find a busted metal line half way down the system. That will look so much nicer since youre plastidipping those parts. Cool work, take a picture when you get it all cleaned up!

Looking good. Wheels looked alright silver to me, its the lower cladding that needed the attention! Whats the plan for that? Good call on removing the vinyl stripes.

I enjoy following work in progress threads (they remind me how little I actually get done myself)... keep it going!

I don't like them silver and they look really crappy.

I will paint the bumpers and stuff with plasti dip too.
Just don't know when. 7pin socket and brake controller are more importent :)

Thank you ;)

You sold the Z?
It wasn't strong enough?
You do know the engine bay will take the V8 or V12...
What were you thinking?

And FYI, I twisted the sway bars on mine a little this morning coming to work. Like any good BMW should.
