I've been experiencing a slight "jerk", that's the best way I can put it, upon accelerating at, say, a stop light. When pushing the throttle, it feels like the rear axle is a little loose, or something to that affect. Is it the "clunk" or something else?

I also felt it today driving around in my friends Jeep Cherokee...if that matters.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Well check all of your rear suspension and make sure everything is still connected to the truck and not just in free float. Since you felt it in another vehicle, I think what you might be feeling is the torque converter locking up. It does that at certain RPM's to force the transmission to spin at the same speed as the engine. It locks and unlocks a lot.

Thank you much for your reply. I am rethinking the term " jerk" ...it should probably be "thud".

Can you shoot a video and post it to YouTube? Or is it still more of a feel only issue?

Also what year and trim is it?

My Bronco does the same thing. I think it is the leaf spring bushings on mine. I got new ones about 6 months ago before I got the expy. Now all my time has been used on the epxy. I also get a loose feeling around corners that changes with throttle. I think it is the same bushings giving me problems.
