Interior and Rims help

Hey guys,

I've been hesitant to try anything myself without some feedback first, so I don't risk doing more harm than good. So I figured, this would be the best place to ask. I have a light tan/beige interior in my Exp, and it's starting to look more black than tan. I keep seeing images of recently detailed interiors, the same color as mine and it brings back memories of what my interior used to look like. Anyone have any recommendations on leather cleaner or conditioner, so I can make it look clean and beige again?
Also, I am getting quite frustrated with dirt covered wheels. Is there any product that someone would recommend that would help keep dirt off the rims (Like a wax or sealer of some sort) so I wouldn't have to clean them every other day?

i like maguires personally but there are many quality products. and i forgot who makes it but there is a cleaner with teflon in it for the rims. may slightly help make rinsing them easier

Mr. Clean magic erasers...they will make it look like brand new!

soap and water 1st...and just clean it with that...then use the aftermarket cleaner...+1 on macguires...i like it

I'm with alaskanexpy on this one, hit the seats with Magic Eraser first and then follow with leather conditioner of your choice.

pics of the rims...are they aftermarket? factory? theres always the opt to change rotors/pads...increase stopping performance and minimize dust

someone makes a spray for the rims... a little yellow areosol can... used it when I first got my new rims and it held up great except for now... hunting season and mud...lol

Super Clean and Armour All make aerosol spray repellants for the rims after you clean them up real good. Can't speak for their effectiveness, never tried them.
Another possibility...switching the pads over to ceramic when you need a brake job. I did mine a few months ago and have virtually no brake dust and I'm hard on the pedals. The factory pads tend to be a bit on the dusty side.

Thank you guys very much for your response and input. I have the factory rims with ceramic brake pads. I find the ceramic is awesome for stopping power but puts out quite a bit dust. It could just be the way I hammer on them. lol. Im going to try to a magic eraser and the maguires. Thanks again guys!

Yea, that's weird. People usually switch to ceramics for their lack of dusting (or at least minimally noticeable dusting). As far as cleaning goes, I usually just use car wash and soap. Don't really like wheel cleaners too much.

For the interior, I usually do Simple Green (diluted) or an APC of your choice and hit the interior trim with a tooth brush. Same for leather, though I make sure to make it more diluted. Follow up with an interior dressing to protect it.

As far as this rims: Purchase a rim wax, that way when you clean the rim you apply the wax. It adds a layer of protection to the rim. When it gets dirty it will just wash off.

For interior try woolite mixed 50:50 with water to clean...Then for protection I dont think you can beat 303 Aerospace...If you are wanting to stay over the counter Meguiars makes one hell of OTC products for the interior...

If you want a good cheap APC go with Zep Citrus Cleaner you can buy it $10 a gallon at Home Depot...Cut it 10:1 for use inside the car...At full strength this stuff pulls oil out of concrete so always cut more then you think you may need...

As for wheel protection just apply the same wax you are using on the paint...Unless they are unfinished metal in which you would be best to buy Blackfire Wet Diamond Metal Sealant...
