I do hate to burst bubbles, but the 6.2 liter 16-valve VCT Boss V-8 will not make into the refreshed 2015 Expedition.
The Boss V-8 has been dropped from the 2015 F-150. Product plans are to use the engine for enthusiast applications only, so it will have limited usage. It will return when the redesigned SVT Raptor bow for 2016 or 2017, based on the new 2015 F-150.
The Expedition is slated to receive a variety of powertrain systems over the next few years. An all-new fourth generation Expedition (aluminium) will arrive in two to three years, around 2017 for the 2018 model year.
