I apologize in advance if this question has already been answered. But I'm doing g the 4.6 to 5.4 swap on my 1997 ford expedition 4x4. I'm wondering which tuner or anything should I get in order to get it running great after doing the swap because I am using the 4.6 wiring harness and ecu.

No need to apologize. We have a few options for you: X4, LiveWire and iTSX. The custom tunes will be the same on each device, we will write each one specifically for you, your driving style, fuel type, mods, etc.

The X4 is a great option for plug and play. The LiveWire will show you live data you can monitor. The iTSX is a great option for cell phone/tablet tweaking. Just comes down to personal preference and what you like to see or not see.

As far as your swap goes, do you have the ECU for the 5.4? When are you planning on doing the swap?

I don't have the 5.4 ecu. I read that it's easier to use the 4.6 harness and ecu. I figured the x4 would be the route I went. The biggest thing is I want to improve the gas mileage and performance. I don't tow things hardly ever unless I'm helping friends move.

Hey bud, not trying to jump on anyones tows in here but I seen you were in Conover NC. I work for a place called Pro Dyno and we specialize in Ford Mustangs. Dan does all of the tuning there and he can answer any of your questions and put it on the Dyno and make you a custom tune. He is the best in the business in the MOD motor tuning. There number is 704-651-3807

What all do y'all specialize in? Do you do engine swaps? Because if I can find someone closer to home to do it then I'm game lol. I'll give him a call

We mainly specialize in Mod Motors in the Mustangs and Shelbys but we do alot of Mod Swaps. We just finished up a new Coyote swap in a ranger truck. And now it is going to be twin turbod. You need to just swing by the shop one day and take a tour and you can see everything we do. We have a in house Dyno so you are getting a tune made just for your vehicle not a canned tune like a mail order tune.
