Anyone ever have any trouble with the expy doors unlocking after locked? Very spooky thing. I lock the doors from the inside, truck is running or not , in Park, and immediately they unlock. It is just the driver's side that unlocks. Maybe it is in the programming. When I use the remote the doors stay locked. I turned off the "automatic door lock" and info reset. It has never done this before. Also, the read out keeps chiming and saying DOOR AJAR when there is no door open. I have checked all doors and back window. Both these problems started today. Mmmm:shootout:

For the door ajar..... grab a can of WD-40 and spray it in ALL the locks, even the lock for the window/liftgate. After you have done this cycle the locks by pressing lock unlock lock unlock a few times and the door ajar should go away. BTW when i say spray the locks i dontmean from the outside... open the doors and spray directly in the lock.

As far as the drivers door unlocking itself... look here.

I think it does it so you don't get locked out, or something like that.

I know I saw it somewhere in the manual where it said when it does it (something about it doing it after a certain number of seconds, and what not)

But I know what you are talking about.

What is happening is that your drivers door contact is not reading that your door is closed. Fix this first and you will be able to lock your door. FORD has had this option on their trucks for over 10 years. If you have your keys in the ignition, it will not allow you to lock your drivers door from the inside. You can either use your keyless entry from the outside or use the remote. By using either of these, your truck will know you have a way back into your vehicle.

I had a similar problem. I sprayed the lock area thoroughly with WD-40 and it solved my problem as well. Also, I used a white lithium grease on them to keep them lubricated. Start with the WD-40 first, and then have someone else verify if the lithium is a good idea or not.
Good luck.
