i did my jd power survey 30 days after i purchased and just recently was asked to update the 6 months of ownership
i ranked the expy high in almost everything and wrote real comments on the few items that are quirky, but in no way reflect quality or lack of...
but ford never rates high, and the answer is they dont buy blocks of advertising from sellout publications.

i used the similar approach and read forums and crawled all over several models and brands.
still came back to ford,
those commercials are hilarious

I'm in the same boat. I have an 02 excursion and the wife has a 15 expy El. She's tired of me working on my excursion (320k miles 7.3l so it needs love), but apparently I have to rebuild her expedition to add the power folding mirrors to it. That's the only thing that our current Expedition is missing.

So what's a good OTD price for a 17 limited? I've seen some decent deals for about $52k as an advertised price, but I'd really like to be OTD for close to $50k. Sales tax here in CO sucks at 8.25% so I have to keep that in mind too.

I caught a sale on my Limited EL $100 below factory invoice. I had $5,250 in cash rebates, and I got a decent price on my trade. I was at $56,129 before tax. I figure all together without the trade I got $7,867 off the sticker. Or about 11.75% off the sticker.

Ok. Were you upside down on your trade? I have an offer right now for a limited EL with 301 package, BLIS, second row buckets, and load leveling for $52434 before taxes and trade. I really wanted to be OTD for that price, but asking another 8 percent may be too much for them ;)

Copied from my original post:

I bought the Limited with:

The Appearance package

1. Control Trac® Four-Wheel-Drive System (be careful 4WD is NOT standard on any model!!)

  1. 2. Option package 301a,-includes:

    Power moonroof

    Power-deployable running boards

Voice-Activated Navigation System with HD Radio™

    3. The Blind Spot Information System

    4. All-weather rubber first- and second-row floor mats in addition to the carpeted ones

    5. Available Navigation with SiriusXM Traffic and SiriusXM Travel Link® option

    6. Platinum tri-metalic paint option.

    7. Second-row flip-fold manual reclining bucket seats

    8. 20" magnetic painted wheels

    9. Probably stuff I'm forgetting but you experts can prob tell by looking?

I think the total options was $6,700?? The total sticker was 68,700 before a $615 "value discount" whatever that is<LMSO>!

OTD price was $53,890.00. That’s taxes(Sales in MD is 6%), Registration, tags, freight, docs etc. I ordered ZERO adds from the finance guy, no extended warranties, no tire warranties, no paint warranties no warranties on warranties...you get the idea. Those are ALWAYS sky-high money makers so like Nancy Reagan used to say...."Just say no". Besides, you can always buy whatever they are trying to sell later, much cheaper(I saw a product in his office called "resistall" but he didn't try to sell me...saw it on Ebay for 25 bucks, all 5 bottles)My guess is that they would have charged hundreds!

I used Fords money @ 1.9% and got another $3,700 off the cost where as I wouldn't have gotten that if I had gone the 0% option I had. The delta on their 1.9 money was $2,200 so I got an added 1500 off the truck and can always pay it off even earlier to get out of the finance costs! At the very last minute, I gave them 5 grand to lower the amount financed.

Obviously, my credit is stellar so I could pick and choose how I paid for it. It's a good position to be in but I have been where a lot of others are too but my GF bought a new Rogue last year and got 0% money from Nissan and she's a teacher with good credit so they will bend if you don't have perfect credit but hold your ground while at the same time let them know that you are serious about buying a truck!

Good luck! They should be cheaper now, I would think.

I got $3,000 in trade for my 05 which I felt was fair considering the shape it was in, rusted out rockers, floorboards, and radiator supports, bubbling paint on the liftgate and hood.

My sticker price was $66,996 out the door price was $59,655.80. We paid cash so there was no finance charges to deal with. We have 7% sales tax in Indiana so we paid $4,496.53 in sales tax, $30 processing fee, $149.95 doc fee.

What does this even mean?

Got an up-close and personal look at a 2018 prototype this weekend. Its a very impressive truck and looks much better in person than it does in pictures.
