I may cut this part off if it isn't high enough upwards as I need more tire exposed in front for climbing stuff without the bumper catching first.
Depending on what it looks like mounted..
Hopefully you understand what I'm trying to explain..lolf95149c2468194695c4bbb41d00f630a.jpg

Yup, I get it. Will help with your approach. I think you'll find that it's already pretty good but I don't know what kind of climbing you're planning on doing. I see you opted not to get the front reciever. How about shackle mounts? Are you going to put those on yourself or do they still need to mount those? When do you get to pick it up?

Those look great. I did my reverse lights with these

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NPIUFMM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

and used these for my plate lights

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0186P1MUW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

for my rear hatch light i used these ( non canbus would have worked, but i had one of these left over from another project)

Big improvement in all three places

Yeah I'm getting the D rings. I forgot to add it to my order so today I called them and added it.
Yeah I opted out on the receiver bc I can do that myself. And climbing as in off-roading trail riding and at Mud Fest events.im going Friday to pick it up . And not this weekend but next weekend I should be ready to start on it.
I'm going to strengthen up the bumper so that I can use a Hi-Lift Jack on the front corners.
I'm thinking about taking off all the tan trim along the bottom of the body. Haven't decided on that yet.
And trying to figure out what winch to get that isn't going to cost me over $500.
Probably the Harbor freight 12,000 lb it's around $300 and there's a lot of YouTube videos on it and they say it's decent for the money..
Idk.

Wow you've got big plans! You would definitely need to beef it up for a high lift unless you lift right by the mounts. The ends of the bumper are fairly long lever arms and flex under heavy load (I know because I've tried to bend my corners up to get the gap reduced).

I've been looking at winches as well. A lot to choose from. Tough to beat the HB cost and I know a lot of people out there use them. I know quality can be a little hit and miss with HB stuff... had a floor jack that wouldn't hold the load but the replacement (a year or so later, under warranty) I really like.

Been spending more time, though, looking at a locker for the rear end. Had my sights on the ARB RD-150 which supposedly fits the 2nd gens and later. But some of the sites don't show that. So contacted ARB and they informed me that the RD-150 isn't for the Expeditions with IRS. Evidently the axle shafts have a retention ring on the ends that go into the diff (my Subaru shafts are like that) and the RD-150 doesn't have the feature inside where the shafts insert to actually retain the ring/shaft. Anyways, I would have to have that feature machined in. I'm going to get hold of the place I had picked to do the work to see if this is something they've dealt with in the past. See where that goes.

I went nutty with the LEDs....
Blue in the rear cabin, amber licence plate and front and mirror turn signal, bright white everywhere else

Nice!

I have switchback for the front turn signals and I am installing LED Tail Lights with those super bright back up LEDs. I just did plain white everywhere else. :D
