@LokiWolf and @AllBoostNoEco I was really wanting to enable the climate controls on the right dash screen as well like guys have done in their Fusions, Edges and Explorers. Everything I have tried doesn't work and it seems the consensus is that the firmware our cluster uses eliminated the option entirely in 2014 (This is why earlier versions like the 2013 Explorer have it).

The address that edits the right screen options is 720-05-01 (IPC). For earlier model years using this same cluster to enable climate control on the right screen (picture shown):

XXXX xxxx xxxx (replacing the capital Xs)

D8B8 (With Navigation)
D8A8 (Without Navigation)

My 2015 Expedition has a Default of D878, which shows Entertainment, Navigation and Phone. Changing it to D8B8 did nothing. It kept the same three options.

Here are two other spreadsheets for reference as well. They are for the 2014 F150s which more closely resemble '15 - 17' Expeditions.

All I get on the links is "Unable to load file." Are these MAC files?

All Except the last link I posted for the Explorer 11-18 are Google docs. That one for the explorer is an iCloud doc, but is view all and works on any current browser. Currently on the current version of Chrome on a Windows 10 Enterprise system right now and opened all of the links. Was opening on my Windows 10 Pro last night, and also on my iPad and iPhone via Tapatalk. I suggest you try another browser, and in most cases I suggest Chrome. Good luck.

Found the "problem." There's some sort of "Flash" content in the files which my PC blocks as part of Firefox security. Not sure why there's flash content but once I disable this feature the spreadsheets pop right up.

Thanks for posting these.

Thanks for the links! I was looking for them, and could not find them...

Found my notes on the Right screen. You have the correct IPC Line, but you need to check the DDM, and PDM. Line 05-01 I changed 8A to CA. Those are my notes. See what you see.

No problem! Interesting about the DDM and PDM. The thing is, there is no DDM or PDM that shows up in FORScan for me for my 2015. I'm using the OBDLink MX Bluetooth Adapter, so I know it's not an issue with the adapter. I contacted FORScan about this and their response was:

"According to our database (that matches to IDS), this model has no DDM and PDM. We agree this is strange, as F-150, F-Series, Fusion, Explorer, etc. have these modules. It may be a bug in the database"

They asked me to run a few diagnostic terminal commands and send the results back to them. I'll post with the results they find. Is the DDM and PDM showing up in FORScan for anyone else?

I'll be without my truck for the next month, so all progress has halted for the time being. I changed that code in the IPC 720-05-01 to every possible hex digit from 0-F.
3, 7, B, and F - phone/nav/ent
0, 4, 8, and C - phone only
1, 5, 9, and D - nav/phone
2, 6, A, and E - ent/phone

I also can NOT turn off my factory locked DRLs. Even changing the BCM code to match my wife's Platinum (which has no DRLs) along with the IPC code produces no results. Only two lines of code differ, so it seemed logical part of it was that. Interestingly, however, if I turn the DRLs 'on' with coding and set them for turns or fogs, they also come on with the factory low-beam 60% DRLs.

I don't recall seeing DDM or PDM, just the PDSM.

I came to the same conclusion with IPC 720-05-01 regarding taking away options but never adding "Climate" to the menu screen.

@AllBoostNoEco that's odd about your DRLs. Is you truck a U.S. vehicle?

In regards to DRLs, I figured out how to bring up the "Daytime Lights" option on the left dash screen via Advanced Settings>Vehicle>Lighting. However, the option is greyed out and not active. I tried activating the option by then turning on DRLs on mine but the screen cluster control was still greyed out. I know the 2015-2018 F150 guys have figured this out, but the addresses they use differ from the Expedition.

I use this program (for PC only) which allows you to side by side compare As-Built files:
http://www.compulsivecode.com/Project_AsBuiltCompare.aspx

I did a comparison between my Expedition (Blue Text) and a Canadian Expedition (Green Text). While I found only a few difference in the BdyCM, two were 726-09-01 and 726-11-01. Not sure what the 726-09-01 difference means but the 726-11-01 difference is because of the activated DRLs on the Canadian Expedition vs my U.S. one. Screenshot below:

The only other changes I found between my Expedition (Blue Text) and a Canadian Expedition (Green Text) in the BdyCM are shown here:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B2Gkna46KoMmYURaaVNUVUw3b0U

  • Not sure why the differences in 726-43-01. I played with changing them and didn't observe any visible changes.
  • Line 726-44-01 is simply the last five digits of the VIN in hex
  • Line 726-45-01 is the specified final drive gear ratio
  • Line 726-46-01 deals with enabling and disabling speed control. Not sure why the single digit difference here.

Between the line differences in the BdyCM between the U.S. and CA 2015 Expeditions, I haven't been able to figure out how to enable cluster controlled DRLs yet.
