The one thing I hate about the power dome hood is the sun reflects off the angled piece and right into my eyes at times. It is most annoying. I've thought about have some flat black vinyl put on the back edge to cut down on the reflection.

I’ve never noticed that maybe it’s the white reflecting the sun on yours. All that new shiny paint lol

I guess they don't want to rack up the miles on test drives. People tend to like to buy new vehicles with less than 20 miles on them.
That’s what they said...if everyone who came in got to tool around for a while it’d have 300 miles on it in a week.

I do have to check the LATCH ratings on our seats, but my wife wanted the captains anyway. Plus, a bench in a Platinum just seems weird.

If I was seriously interested in buying one or placing an order, I would probably take exception to that and find another dealer.

Yea, it mustve been ordered for someone who put a deposit on it. It makes no sense to deny a potential buyer from driving it.

If I had pushed it they would have allowed it. I told them up front I was not buying that one as I wanted a Max and this was a standard length...so I get it.

The Expis are starting to show up on dealer lots here in the Dallas area so I went to play with one today. I took my son’s booster seat to see just how well the Tip and Slide seating system works in allowing access to the third row. I was disappointed to learn that it doesn’t. If you are only using the LATCH system, it would work as promised, tipping and sliding forward allowing third-row access. But if you have the seat secured using the shoulder belt (which is usually required once the kid weighs more than 40 pounds) the seat belt essentially ties the seat down preventing it from tipping and sliding forward. This is because the seatbelt is attached to the C pillar and the seat cannot move once attached to the booster/car seat.

It is obvious once you look at it, but all of the reviews simply said “the seat can move forward with a child’s seat installed”...not so fast.

Not a huge deal as this means I just have to get captain’s chairs, but it took me by surprise.

I assumed this when I saw how they tip/fold. I have the same issue as two of my kids are big enough to use the seat belt to secure their car seat. We have three kids and I keep going back and forth between getting captains seats vs bench. Have you thought of captains vs bench, how many kids etc?
