I want to buy a 2018 Expedition having the heavy trailer-tow and the off-road options.
However these options are now only available in the XLT model. The XLT lacks other options which I desire. Should I wait for a King Ranch model, perhaps available in the 2019 model year next fall?

What about the Fx4 variant? I believe you can get that with HD tow and you’ll have the two speed transfer case with all the electric goodies.

What options does the Fx4 not offer that you want?
Also, 2019’s will begin production late March so you will not have to wait until fall, you can order a 2019 in a few weeks.

Platinum it is for you. The trailer tow pkg does offer all the fx4 pkg options but off road shocks. If you can do without the noise cancellation and the nappa leather(massage seats), a ltd with that pkg is cheaper, and the sus set up a bit stiffer than the ccd sus set up and you wont have to deal with 22in wheels

My personal opinion is just don’t pay retail for a vehicle. I have problem with that. If you can buy under retail great. If you can not get it under retail and you just gotta have it great also. I’m just the kinda guy that’s is always looking for the value in doing business. I don’t like seeing people get screwed over. At this time and in the near future the 18-19s won’t have much discounts.
