k...i got kn airfilter....but i wanna boost spark. is there high end coil packs...i mmight go with a throttle body...slightly bigger....imagine getting simeese runners or smooth out the runners from the inside of this motors runners.......lol like my 350 tpi fuel injection i had in my 89 z28 iroc.......lol those days r over./....lmao...kids and wifey now but i would like more power....hehe

4.6 i got........:cool:

slp street perfgormance parts i used on z....just asking to hear whats up with these engines.

Just a word of caution... your going to spend a lot of money on those mods and not see much of an increase. Even if you get up to the power that the 5.4 has... the 5.4 is still sllllow. It's impossible to make these things fast without a supercharger... instead of power I went down the road of improving handling.

I totally agree. You're not going to see huge gains with the regular bolt ons.

If you don't mind sacrificing highway performance and mileage, you can trick yourself by changing out the diff gears. It will "feel" like you have more power if you go from a 3.55 to a 3.73 (or 4.10).

if im reading everything right it isnt worth the $180 for headers eventhou i am pulling the manifolds off to fix some broken studs??????

I would say it's a personal choice... if you are on a tight budget then spending the money wouldn't be worth it, but if you have the money to spend it will result in a slight improvement. It's sort of like how some exhaust mufflers will actually decrease your top end performance, but people think it's worth it for the extra sound they get.

i wouldnt waste ur money on a throttle body spacer. all those are good for is saying "i have a throttle body spacer".

:cool:feel like getting a BRAND NEW throttle body...nice bolt on. ANY IDEAS if you had a choice?

was thinking a transmission pan to make fluid cooler...but WOW:rolleyes: there big money. OR rear end cover plate as well.
