I did. I specifically asked if this was the Nivomat shock, and she said it's a Ford branded shock. I asked her if she was absolutely certain that mechanical load leveling rear suspension is standard now and she replied she is 100% sure. Makes sense, too, as otherwise it should still be optional on the 2018s. I pointed out the two inconsistencies on their website, she forwarded the info on so they could correct the website. I suppose one could look at the parts numbers on the 2018 and the 2017 with the option.

I'm totally confused about this load-leveling question. The following is quoted from a post on the Limited vs Platinum thread:

"The brochure has the matrix of every feature available, and where.

I'm sad they no longer have auto-leveling suspension at all, unless the CCD maintains that feature somehow.
CCD does not do auto-leveling. CCD delivers ride quality type of enhancements, Normal, Sport, or Comfort. Mine stays in Normal 90% of the time."

Can anyone that actually owns and is using one of these things verify whether or not the load-leveling is an option, is standard equipment, or is available at all?

It's not listed as available at all in any literature. Shannon is wrong, or Ford puts it as standard on all Expedition models and doesn't mention it even the slightest bit.

I'll let you decide which is more likely.

I'm an owner and I'm stumped.

If you look at some of the early press about the vehicle (I'm talking February of 2017) load-leveling was expressly mentioned as a feature that would be maintained in the update from MY2017 to MY2018 (see here: https://www.cars.com/articles/2018-ford-expedition-preview-1420693342476 and here: https://www.autotrader.com/car-reviews/2018-ford-expedition-new-car-review-270444).

But I agree with dewey that the feature does not show up anywhere in the current marketing literature from Ford as being a feature on the 2018's.

That being said, the 2018 manual, in the section on towing, does make reference to vehicles with leveling suspension, and vehicles without (see below). So I don't know what to think. Because I agree it would be odd for Ford to ignore that in their marketing literature, but why list it in the manual if it's not offered? Maybe it was originally going to be offered? Maybe it will be someday?

I agree it's very confusing. Anybody have time to check part numbers? I'm at work or would do so. A WDH is different from mechanical load leveling

The owners manual also mentions setting up the trailer-mounted TPMS and camera system (which is available accessory on Super Duty trucks), but no one can give me an answer about whether or not it is actually available for the Expy. The parts manual shows compatibility only for the Super Duty. I asked my dealer the same question about why would it be in the manual. His reply: that first-edition manuals often contain errors. I suppose they may cut and paste sections of other manuals when putting together new ones. In the case of the self-leveling suspension, maybe the manual contains it in error.

I'd love to be able to integrate a trailer camera system... I think it's a typo.
