Yeah. Ok. Sounds like you’ve got a plan. As a side note, I sure didn’t use that spring tool. Looks like it would be a pain. I just snapped my rockers in.
sounds good. the way i did it, it worked flawlessly. would you like me to tell you all that i did? or do you have a way of doing it? not being sarcastic or anything. there are a couple different ways of doing it. one with no rockers in, or the other way with a few in. i did it with no rockers...
huh. weird. i had mine all together, minus rockers, and turned it no problem cause there was no tension on the cams. i installed the rockers i could in the set position, then rotated clockwise or counter clockwise a little bit to get the rest of the rocker in.
also, sorry for your frustration. i...
i just did my whole timing set and replaced some rockers that were shot. i saw the tool for doing springs and rocker installs. as for the lash adjusters, those can only be installed with the cam removed. i installed all lash adjusters, installed and torqued cam cap bolts, then used a small pry...
Well, got it installed and everything seems fine. We will see in the morning when I try start it cold. It had some weird symptoms and finally got it diagnosed as a weak fuel pump.
After further investigation, it appears that someone along the way decided to maybe put a short wheelbase pump in. For a 119”. Why they are different I have no idea. I do know that they are different part numbers, but never knew the difference why. This physically shows the difference for anyone...
When I got my navigator, the code was on the back of the computer on the passenger side kick panel. You remove the kick panel cover, and remove the 2 ( or 3) bolts, pull it away from the mount and it’s on the back of that computer. Also, on the stereo, you can set everything up that you need in...
hello all. I am in the middle of changing out the fuel pump in my 11 navigator, and have the new and old pump side by side. The new spectra pump is different, but everywhere I look online says it’s this part number for a flex fuel. We’re things updated or is this actually the wrong one? Any help...
I'm chasing this same thing. Is yours a flex fuel? Mine is and I'm learning that the fuel pump is a full on and intermittent operation. If the fuel pump is going, when the fuel pump is operating in low mode, the fuel pressure drops, which causes the ecu to read a lean condition, so it starts to...
I'll take the tune out this week when I get time.
The only codes ever have been for the O2 sensors. Since replacing all 4, nothing has come up again.

Yeah I hear ya. That happened to me on my v10 back when. Because fords have the one touch key, I turn it once and leave it crank till it goes. Which, sometimes is around 10 seconds. It smells like raw unburnt fuel after it starts.
Well, I brought it in the garage and cleaned the MAF. No go. I don't have an aftermarket intake or anything. I also did the idle relearn procedure, and no go. I also have yet to return it to stock, so I will try that next.

I currently have about 245000 Kms on it. I have no idea when they were changed, if ever. When I did the plugs not that long ago, the 2 rear ones looked like they had never been changed. I was confident that was the problem. But no go.
