possible misfire??
I had the same issue with my 98, replaced the plugs and still had the issue the check engine light was doing the same thing, One day the light came on and I go into an Auto Zone and it was a misfire on #5, Replaced the coil and have had no problems since. Hope this helps.- 98-expedition
