    I have used a pulse timer relay to change settings on other vehicles when I start the vehicle. The relay module does the equivalent of pushing the button. I would think it would work in this situaiton as well.

    One other factor: The extended warranties include loaner cars. The sooner you get the warranty, the sooner the peark is available. There are a few others as well.
