Yes the CDF drum! How do you know if it has that? Ours is a 2019 MAX XLT no trailer package, never towed anything. tranny blew up at 30kmiles…completely rebuilt. At 45k now…and wondering what’s next? another user said if it has the CDF drum it may blow again in 40kmi?
We have a 2019 MAX XLT, no trailer package, never towed anything. Tranny blew up at 30kmiles. Completely rebuilt under warranty but still a hassle. At 45kmi now and not sure I wanna risk it happening again, another user on here mentioned that at a certain point in 2019, they change the tranny...
Agree, yeah $80k plus T&L plus interest is probably $115k after all said and done. I totally get where you're coming from. As a Toyota enthusiast myself, it's disappointing to see the Sequoia fall short in terms of design and functionality compared to competitors. It seems like Toyota missed...
Agreed! The GMs have major issues as well…engines needing replacing after 5kmiles. the wife rented a Sub when the Max was in the shop and she loved it. Refinement was much better inside and out, felt like a luxury car…ride noticeably better than the MaX.
Agreed about FCA, I’m with ya and...
Guessing by your name, are you in CA? If so I am as well and haven’t seen any discounts on Tahoe/Suburban anywhere. The only discounts I’ve seen are from dealers in Michigan that are advertising employee deals discounts that most people don’t qualify for. In terms of inventory, not sure where...
Agreed, here in The Peoples Republic of California…all Tahoes/Suburbans are MSRP plus add ons.
The Tahoes/Suburbans ride like a dream compared to the Expedition. Wife Rented one when the Expedition needed the Cams done…she loved it and I noticeably felt the difference going over the same...
We replaced the factory tires with Michelins at 18kmi due to wear. Got the best Costco had, 80kmi warranty…they’re just about done with less than 30kmi on them.
The 100k on any tire is impressive. We had to replace our factory tires at 18kmiles. Went with the
Michelins, best ones Costco had, 80kmi warranty…they’re done after maybe 30kmi.
Yeah with 5 kids, the options are limited! However we rarely are all in the car but still. Not sure why Toyota started putting these huge aircraft carrier sized center consoles, they’re not even that functional.
We’ve replaced the tire’s already, factory tires lasted 15kmiles, with the best...
I hear ya. Yes the ride quality of our Expedition is awful, bouncing, jarring over every bump. A vehicle this heavy should be able to go over a speed bump and not even feel it. This one my head hits ceiling and my kidneys ache! I would get a new Sienna in a heartbeat, much better ride and...
The fronts were replaced under warranty due to leaking. I guess I find it hard to have a brand new vehicle to have to get all brand new shocks but I’ve heard of people doing that. Are the Bilsteins that much better ride?
Overall it’s an impressive vehicle when it doesn’t break. If the dealer experience was better it wouldn’t be such a big deal…still a pain but less of one if they offered comparable loaners or rentals.
With 7 people, sports gear, friends etc to tote around. There’s not much out there for a family our size. You have the MAX, suburban/yukon xl, or minivans….id love to get a Minivan for the wife but she already had 2 before the MAX and she won’t go back.
