    Well, It's been fun,

Here's hoping if CAFE falls that this becomes a reality. Looking at what Ford makes from the 3.5L in the Raptor and Navigator, a 5.0L TT would be pretty insane. I think it would be a far more reasonable choice than the rumoured 7.0L V8 slated to replace the current Triton 6.8L.

New big V8 coming (?) Will it be available in the Expedition ?

The Humvee has IRS and a payload capacity of 4,400lbs.

Wait for 2018, or buy 2017 Expy

I'm not surprised in the slightest. The Escalade is a far nicer truck than the Navigator right now. The Navigator needs a leap forward for 2019. It needs a smoother ride, more sound deadening, and nicer materials to seriously compete with the Escalade. Right now, the only GM the Navigator...

New big V8 coming (?) Will it be available in the Expedition ?

Or will we see it in 2019/2020 in an Excursion or beefed up Expedition? There's a market for a 7 seater that'll tow an 11,500lb family trailer.

TSB for replacing the blower control module?

I would add a WPT900 to that list. The issue isn't likely that the blower motor is drawing too much power, but that the ground is subpar, and creating resistance which is causing the heat issues. Much like the crappy wiring in the A/C seats, you'll note on the replacement for that connector...

No diesel or V8, likely because Ford doesn't have a decent V8 or diesel to put in it. The 3.5L EcoBoost runs circles around the 5.0L Coyote V8. If Ford had an engine like the 6.2L Vortec maybe, but even then I'd doubt it. If the rumoured 400hp/480ft-lbs in the Platinum Expedition are true...

    It's bigger Chicago Auto Show

Any idea if it's less tall? It's definitely longer.

You can get a pistol case for inside the console if you really need lockable storage. I find the centre console is a good size, just seriously lacking in organization.

Definitely agree that the LWB version looks better proportioned. It also definitely has colours that look better than others. This is huge. The extra 2nd row leg room alone is enough for me to consider upgrading. Adults will finally be comfortable in the 2nd row for long trips. I think the...

I'd probably go the '18 for second row leg room reasons alone.

    Heated and cooled seats

I smacked myself in the head with my drill putting holes in a trailer a little while ago. Thank goodness for eye protection. Good call on the heat shrink butt connectors, keeping water out of those will be greatly beneficial. I soldered mine, but heat shrunk them after. Probably overkill...

    Aftermarket choices.

You know this gen of expy better than I do, but I know on the 08-10 models, the DVD player will still work with the infrared headphones, but will not play through the stereo with a standard harness.

    What a bonehead.

Your brake rotors have clearance within spec around the bolts. I'd continue looking elsewhere for the source of the noise.

    Replacing Pirelli ATRs

Thanks, I hadn't heard much about the wear being quick. Thanks for the info. Our oil field roads are pretty similar, in dry times I used to take my Fusion down most of them to get to our hunting areas. In the mucky season though, things get dicey. Good point that luck is as important as...

    Replacing Pirelli ATRs

Hello everyone, It's time for me to replace my Pirelli ATRs. I'm looking for some feedback from Expy owners who have moved away from Pirelli. Presently I'm looking at: (prices in Canadian) Hankook Dynapro AT-M ($800) BFGoodrich KO2 ($977) Michelin LTX A/T2 ($1029) Defender LTX M/S ($800)...
