    Coil Bolts

I tried the bolt without the coil and couldn't get it started. The threads on the bolt itself seem to be fine. I assume the hole is boogered up. It's hard to see with it being the farthest back cylinder.

    Coil Bolts

2004 Ford Expedition I've owned the truck for about a year. Place i bought it from said they did a tune up. I recently was having a misfire on #7. I was shocked when i went to look at it that #7 and #8 coils were flopping around. The coil bolts weren't tightened down. I replaced the #7 coil...

    Intermittent crank no start

Autumn Red, Wow, that was some hit! So, since I already have a replacement and am donating the car, I have lost interest in fixing it. But, you guys had me curious so I hard wired the fuel pump by unplugged the connector from the fuse box and running a wire from the battery to the...

    Cheap TPMS solution

I just picked up a new to me '04 Expedition that had some bad TPMS sensors. I ordered these MORESENSOR Signature Series 433MHz TPMS Tire Pressure Sensor 4-Pack | Preprogrammed for Select 60+ American Brand Models | Replacement for 52088990AE | Clamp-in | NX-S018-4 for 80 bucks. They don't...

    Intermittent crank no start

Just following up.... It will not start at all now and the fuel pump is dead. With sadness, I am going to donate the truck to charity. The engine is still strong, 249k on the clock, but the rust is winning. I found another '04 to replace it with only 102K miles and I still have my '08 too.

    Brake Help

oh, sorry JExpedition07 I just now noticed your question at the bottom of the thread. I guess you had no problem. I have replaced brake hoses several times in a couple different vehicles and this was the first and hopefully only time I have this problem.

    Intermittent crank no start

My 2004 Expy 5.4 has been having an intermittent no start condition. It doesn't happen very often, but sometimes when you have gone for a drive and come back to restart it (still warm). Cranks, but will not start. Go back later, and it fires right up like nothing was wrong. The check...

    Brake Help

I was able to get the end flared! So, I didn't need to replace any line. I straightened the end and filed it square. Then I deburred the inside and chamfered the end with a file. I used a different double flare tool. This tool was a loaner, but it was brand new. It had a better clamping...

    Brake Help

Retiredusps, I like your solution since it doesn't require any flares to be made. But, I might give the flare another try first since it would save a lot of work if I don't have to replace the entire line. The flare tool from another parts store looks better than the one I tried. I'm...

    Brake Help

2008 Expedition Limited: I'm in a bit of a pickle. I replaced the front passenger side brake hose since that side was sticking, but the threads on the brake line were in bad shape and I ended up cross-threading it. I got a new fitting and cut the end off, but I've never flared a brake line...

    Caliper bolts - what tool?

Just got a 9mm from AutoZone, the last one they had. I have an 8mm that didn't fit. I have an impact wrench, but the spec is only 55ft-lbs. I've done plenty of brakes and never needed an impact. I guess whoever did your brakes last over- torqued them with an impact.
