    Need engine part identified

Wow, lucky I found this when I did. It appears I have the identical problem. I cannot believe the part I need to replace is plastic, maybe its been replaced before? It REALLY looks like aluminum. I was hoping it was just a paper gasket underneath. Problem all started a couple weeks ago when I...

2004 Expedition starts, but almost stalls

Worked like a champ! $54.00 at NAPA. Removed 3 screws on throttle body cover, 2 screws on Idle Air Control valve, electrical connection, gasket. Reinstalled in under 20 minutes, although its not in the most accesible area, at the back of the throttle body under the sill. Once reinstalled and...

    2000 Exp, what is this?

So I removed the air ride bags, installed some Moog coils with insulators. I discovered a rattle afterwards, which was really irritating so i climber back under today and retightened all shock connections. then I happened across this item, which I believe is associated with the air bags height...

    air suspension?

Other then looking for rear shocks, i would imagine you could determine by the presence of an air compressor under the hood, pass side wheel well? You may also be able to detect by hearing it kick in and the ride adjusting during start up?

    2000 Expedition Rear coils

Well, its been a few weeks, and now Im confronted with a different issue. Seems I have this "clunk" or rattle when I fo over anything that isnt smooth. I REALLY thought it was how the coils sat on top. So after an exhausting search for insulators/isolators with Oreillys, Pep Boys, Rock Auto...

$250 air suspension conversion kit and coil spacer lift

Wow, thats kind of strange. Im running 4yr old KYB's in the rear, wonder if I have a little less sag then you might. Another thing I noticed which is a total mystery is the front ends is almost scary light now, like oversteer. Not sure what happened. The ass end sits higher now with the coils...

    air suspension fixed

I absolutely hated the air rise on my 2000. Went to springs and wonder why I waited.....Turned air ride off (lower passenger side kick panel), still have the "chk susp" light on, but I can deal with that for the time being. Wonder if I can just turn it off with my OBD ? I also need to get back...

$250 air suspension conversion kit and coil spacer lift

Mutineer, did you need any spring isolators for the rear? I replaced my air with Moog Springs but have a rattle on both side. Also, the springs, although marked which side up, did not appear to fit correctly when positioned according to their tag. Ive tried ordering isolators from Oreilly but...

    Coil Spring Isolators-Replace or Reuse?

I went the other way. I took out the air ride and replaced with springs. Granted, the air ride is 10 years old but I really prefer the traditional ride. I seem to be having a hard time finding isolators (Oreillys for example).
