2014 Expedition - A/C won't blow cold on front passenger side

You can try it. The procedure is in the service manual, but I can't currently access mine (It's on a CD and the PC I built a few months ago doesn't have drive bays.). That said, I have recalibrated mine several times over the years and it always ends up just being a very short-term fix. More...

2014 Expedition - A/C won't blow cold on front passenger side

Passenger side temp is controlled by the actuator behind the stereo. Super easy to change out. Mine went at 130k (truck was about 7y old). There's an Expedition video, but I can't find it. The F150 is extremely similar. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hM4PTJ8PNs

How you feel about BlueCruise after the 2 crashes?

Theoretically, I think it all sounds great. However, I don't think I'm ever going to reach a point where I really trust the vehicle to drive itself.

Electronics shorted by windshield tinting water?

As I said above, they should only be using distilled water. If they're using tap, they're hacks.

Only 1 USB port in front seat area??

In the Mrs car, she used a plug-in adapter. In my 3rd gen Expedition I mounted one of these.

Electronics shorted by windshield tinting water?

On late model vehicles the front windshield blocks 94% of UVA from the factory wherein the sides (and rear on cars) do not. So you're not really gaining anything in terms of UV protection. You're getting some light reduction of course, but you're also significantly reducing visibility since you...

Electronics shorted by windshield tinting water?

The shop is full of crap. This is one of those scenarios where they are trying to blame their own negligence on some outside influence. Tinting isn't going to introduce any more water than would be introduced by driving in the rain with your windows open. Moreover, they should be used...

Rear brake pads and rotors junk at 25K miles.

They are? I got 80k out my first set on my 3rd gen EL. Heck, at 210k I'm only on the 3rd set in the rear. I'm actually shocked at how long they last - longer than any other vehicle I owned before or currently.

    Are we NO for ignition?

Based on this alone, I'd find a new mechanic. He's throwing parts at the problem without having any idea what the problem actually is. While the coils do go bad on these trucks more than most vehicles, they're not a routine maintenance item and there's no reason to replace them if they're not...

    Sticky situation

Disconnect the battery and saturate it with electronics cleaner. Give it 30 min to dry, reconnect battery and see if it's improved. Worst case, it harms nothing.

    Ford PremiumCare - worth it?

Go to Lombard Ford or Flood Ford. You'll probably pay 1/4 that for the same warranty.

    Expedition too big for daily?

I initially regretted the EL for this reason, but grew to love it within a few months. The only thing I personally feel it's too big for is city driving. It's hard enough darting between cars in traffic and finding a parking space in my wife's sedan. The EL just complicates those issues even...

Topping off Orange Antifreeze with Yellow Antifreeze

It really isn't. The yellow has replaced the orange in the product lineup (and did so years ago). If they weren't mixable, there would be no orange replacement. It was formulated, specifically, to be mixable with the orange as the factory maintenance schedule involves a drain/fill, not a...

Topping off Orange Antifreeze with Yellow Antifreeze

Ford stopped making the orange, so yes, the replacement is yellow.
