I surprisingly had no issues with plugs or packs - they all came out relatively easily (5.4l 2v). This is correct. I actually went up a hair to 18 as these plugs are known to walk out of their threads. The yellow Accel 140032 ones from Amazon, approximately $150 for 8. Motorcraft SP-479...- mwhyes

Just completed. Took 4 hours - it was hot and humid in DC these last few days, so a lot of sweating and rest breaks. It wouldn't have kicked my butt so hard if it were cooler out. It's an intuitive job, but just hard to wiggle around in there. If every cylinder was like #1, it would take less...- mwhyes

Replace broken tail lights with LED ones? Which is better.
No comment to your aftermarket question, but I believe you can also use the '07 and up Expedition taillights with very little modification. Slightly updated, but still OEM look, which I prefer.- mwhyes

Sorry for the wrong information - that is good to know! In some respects 5 qt's may by a good thing as you wont be "shocking" the tranny with all new fluid, but what do I know!- mwhyes

I just checked, I think you'll be fine - Section 307-01B in the shop manual for the 2003 Expedition (free version posted earlier this month) on p2183 specifically states removing the drain plug on the torque converter as a defined step in draining the tranny fluid. I realize you have a 2004...- mwhyes

Yes, pop off the rubber grommit below the bellhouse. Manually spin the crank pulley to line up drain hole to face downward. Google for complete directions, but this should get you started: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDH9idLuSPA- mwhyes

Front Grill question....
Noticed the same thing - I bought and painted a lower grill for my XLT. Subtle, but much better looking than the stock hole. Cost $20-30 and took a half hour. There are even holes in the XLT grill to receive clips. Take a look at my album.- mwhyes

03 EB drivers window issues...
if the motor and switch is functioning, there is likely an issue with the cabling and winding device. It is all string driven, so if the wire is off the pullys, or the winding mechanism is not wrapped correctly, it will not pull. Greetings from DC! Picked up a blue 2003 XLT 4x4 from a family in the suburbs. DD is a 6 speed Infiniti G37 coupe, which is great car, but is very useless for any task, and only good for summer.
