What to look for when buying a gen3 expy
Hey everyone, thanks for the thread. Going to look at an 08 EB edition and it seems like the main issues are the rear tailgate paint and a hesitation with the engine. Quick question on the engine issue, is it the 5.4, the 4.6, or both? Thanks.- nbpace

Maybe cam phasers? Timing chain?

What to look for when buying a gen 2 expy
Thanks for the checklist. I am looking at a 2004 Eddie Bauer edition tomorrow. Qucik question: since its the 2v engine, does that mean that I don't need to worry about potential cam phaser issues? Thanks in advance. If I buy the truck, I'll post pics and give an update.- nbpace
