Deteriorating vacuum hoses around throttle body
Totally agree with the above ideas. I went to autozone and schucks and bought hose by the foot and replaced everything that connects to the throttle body on my 1998. I also had to do the same on my 2004. Cost is pretty low doing it by the foot.- onlyexilove

The only thing that I can think of is pulling all of them and setting up either fans on them or setting up some sort of a heater blowing on them to dry them out. Hopefully that will work.- onlyexilove

Awesome deal. I ended up switching the time to 2:00 pm as of right now and meeting at McMenamins in Mill Creek since they are family friendly and have plenty of parking for everyone. If you check on summit racing they have a timing chain set that comes with tensioners. That is the kit that I picked up. It has chains, guides and tensioners. I have always been able to use a shallow well 7mm with a swivel and a few 6 inch extensions in between the fuel rail to get that bolt off the cop and then use a magnet tool to pull it out. Sounds like a good idea. Honestly in the end unless you go for a much newer one you will eventually run into the same issues. Taking a bit of time to do a minor rebuild on your current one will prob be the better bet in the long run. At least the motor will be good and last a lot longer with...- onlyexilove

Honestly your looking at around 3K for the job if not more depending on what shop you take it to. That is based on the heads needing machine work and it needing to be torn down and put back together. Also you are probably looking at it being down for about 2 weeks at a shop if not more depending...- onlyexilove
