Ok sorry for the not complete info on whats going on just drop kids off at school... it sounds like im running dual exshausted with cherry bombs on it is the best way i can describe it... and idle sounds almost like it trying to die....but a real pop sound if that help will do the coil right now- RedNeck96

Ok but i be getting some type of codes??? The only codes that are coming up is now #5 miss fire. Nothing else. Backfire on happens when driving and im letting off the gas to stop and then its only two or three pops.... MAINLY JUST SPUTS AND NO POWER- RedNeck96

OK just please (replaced? ) timing chain & guides tensioner. I did everything according to Ford service manual. Go to start the engine get misfires, popping back firing. I've installed new plugs new wires, new coil packs check for vacuum leaks not pulling any trouble codes etc intake air temp to...- RedNeck96

Ok I was wondering because my old motor had coil packs and this one has the coils dir on top of the plugs..... And which ones better- RedNeck96

Okay so I have a 4.6 liter in my 1998 I seem to blow a head gasket and cracked passenger side head. Now I found a replacement 4.6l complete motor out of a 00 f150 it looks all the same only difference that I've seen the new motor as the coils on the plugs and the eighth number in the VIN number...- RedNeck96
