Thanks for the replies. I still don't know what I'm going to do. EIther a salvage engine 59k miles for 2400 or have someone go through this engine and replace whats needed. Theres still alot of life left in this vehicle and its cheap to register and insure.- Richard_S

Highest Mileage
No, nothing major. Water pump last December at 206k and injectors about 70k ago. Transmission needed the valve body and programming about 170k. All the maintenance stuff like plugs and coils have been done. I still drive it to Orlando from Greensboro several times a year and to Maine...- Richard_S

What did you do to the expy today
I replaced the serpentine belt and all three idler pulleys, the grooved one was really loose and had a lot of play, so might as well do all 3 and be done with it. 224k- Richard_S

Cleaned out the truck after 2 weeks of vacation in Florida, was loaded to the gills with equipment, cleaned the engine and installed a new Ford vanity plate on the front. Full synthetic price
I pay about 70 for full synthetic oil change and tire rotation, battery test at the local Ford dealer since new. Truck has had full synthetic since first oil change and I change it between 5k and 6k. Truck has 217k now.- Richard_S

What's up with this sync thing on my '14?
Are you confusing updating the Sync ii software with the navigation maps. I recently updated my Sync software from the Ford website. You have to download it onto a USB thumb drive and update it that way. I think the error message you are getting is for the Sync software. Call a Ford dealer...- Richard_S

Any tips on changing spark plugs?
Keep in mind if you torgue them wet (anti-sieze) to the same 24 to 27 ft lbs, you are actually torquing them more, since there is less friction.- Richard_S
