Bucket -> Bench Seat Swap (Front)
Done. I removed my center console in the front of the 01 Expy and put in a 03 F150 Lariat Super Cab 60/40 split (has fold down console). As you can see, I didn't even care about matching my tan color, because at $40... can't complain (utility/necessity over design preference). Bolted right...- roachslayer

So lucky... discovered drain plug loose!
I'm grateful, but totally perplexed. I saw a minor leak coming from my 2001 Expy 4x4 transfer case. Looking for the source of the leak, I found nothing coming down from up above (like a seal, yikes). Has anyone removed their buckets and center console and put a bench seat in it's place? I need more seats. I heard a F150 seat bolts right in, but... there are MANY "flavors" of this seat, crew cab, super cab, with and without integral seatbelt, etc. And woulf a F250 also work? @BaggedExpy So you went from bench (your floor was set up for bench?) to buckets, and you modified the buckets to bolt down instead of latch in. Is that right? I have the opposite problem, and nothing to bolt to (only latches on the floor). Might be quite the engineering mod on a bench seat...- roachslayer

@BaggedExpy That attatement didn't come through. Can you fix it? I'd actually like to see what sort of mod you did there. It sounds like you modified the seat to fit the floor, not the floor to fit the seat. That would be much more doable IMO.- roachslayer

Cutting and welding is not something I want to do just to swap a seat from buckets to bench. As I mentioned, I find it totally, utterly ridiculous that I can swap my FRONT buckets to a F150 bench (not even an expy) but I can't swap my 2nd row with same year/make/model seats. I've looked at a dizzying amount of 97-02 Expeditions only to conclude that this is NOT a direct swap to go from Bucket to Bench or vice-versa. Dang it. The floor body is the same, but the bolts and more importantly BRACKETS are NOT the same - no bench utilizes the same mounts as the buckets...- roachslayer
