In the center console, below the "drive-mode" Dial, there should be a button that's marked with a "P".
That button turns off the parking sensors. You could try turning them off when you pull in the garage, and then turn them back on whenever you need them.
Sounds like an electrical issue. Any signs of rodent damage?
For the thick wire, make sure the connections are tight at both ends; inspect wire for any damage.
Condensation from the exhaust is normal, on a cold startup.
A raw gas smell indicates an exhaust leak (most likely at the manifold), or loose spark plugs. I have the same problem in my 2010, passenger manifold leaks.
Check to make sure that the instrument cluster dimmer isn't set in the indented position. I'm not sure if the 15-17 Expy's have it, but the 07-14 Expeditions have a scroll-wheel for the dimmer, and if it is set all the way in the up-position, the interior lights will stay on all the time.
The hub should be able to move about 30 to 35 degrees in each direction, before it starts to turn the axle.
As long as there's no grinding issues, then you are fine.
What you are experiencing is normal. After you finish re-timing the engine and pull the tensioner pins, the timing chain is not going to slip off the timing marks.
If you rotate the engine after you set the timing, the timing marks will not line up again until a few rotations have been...
Depending on how many miles were put on the vehicle from 3 years ago until now, you could remove the oil fill cap and filler neck (on the valve cover), and use a flashlight to look at the Phaser.
A new Phaser wouldn't be as tarnished as a Phaser from the original timing set. Same goes for the...
Both of them not working, could be a fuse that blew. Check the manual to see which fuse controls the puddle lamps.
If you still have the original bulbs (and they still work), try putting them back in and seeing if they'll come on.
At 200k, the truck is due for a timing job. However, P0340/P0345 are codes relating to a faulty cam sensor.
If you can, try replacing the Bank 2 Cam Sensor and see what happens after that.
Sounds like the torque converter is slipping when it locks. On a cold start, the TC won't lock until a certain Trans temp has been reached, so that explains why it runs OK on a cold start. A TC that is bad will slip the most when it is locked in the overdrive gear, and at lower RPMs (35-45MPH)...
2019 MAX Limited, bought in July 2022 with 66k, now has 123k
-4 days after purchase, Phaser rattle showed up. Went to dealer for replacement under warranty.
-Heater hoses replaced at 105k (first time)
No other issues, it has been a great vehicle.
Since it is intermittent, I would first look to identify an electrical issue.
Check the wiring down by the Left front speed sensor, and the wiring to the ABS Module. Any problem with the ABS system will also turn on the AdvanceTrac light. (Trac. Control Light)
Next time the lights come on...
I'm almost sure that the problem is that one of the hoses is not connected correctly, and air is leaking past the hose when boost pressure is applied. Check to make sure that there is not an air filter restriction, or one of the plastic clips haven't broke by the inlet side of the air pipes, and...
