High mileage Expys?
1997 XLT 4x4 4.6L The odometer does not work. It stopped at 276k. I would guesstimate we're at 300k+. I have minor valve cover gasket seepage, left side hea gasket oil leak to the exterior of the block, rear main leak, and pan leakage. Checking in from Kansas
I bought a 1997 XLT with 4.6L last December. Drive it to the Rocky Mountain region last summer. Absolutely gutless on the highway, but in 4x4 Low she climbed to the top of a couple mountains without a problem. She's had the dreaded exhaust leak since before I bought it.
