Curious problem and I'm looking for ideas. 1998 expy, the passenger side brake light/turn signal does not work. The parking light does and they are the same bulb. This is just the passenger side rear. Everything else works fine.

So far, I have:
Tried a new bulb
Switched sockets with the other side
Cleaned the contacts
Tried a new relay

I'm flat out of ideas.

Anyone else?

Although they may be the same bulb (duel element) they have different voltage feeds and they both use the same ground.

When you press the brake pedal does the brake lights and the 3rd brake light work? If not explain which light/s come on

When you operate the 4 way lights explain which lights flash.

How well can you troubleshoot electrical problems?

Can you read and understand wiring diagrams?

Do you have any test meters? Ohm/volt meter

Pressing the brake lights up the 3rd and the driver's side. Same with the hazards.

Pretty good with electric stuff, just need to be pointed in the right direction.

Have the tools.

From the sounds of it Your Multifunction switch is bad
The power for the brake, turn and hazard circuits all go thru the Multifunction switch

I will up load the prints you need, shortly

You would want to check to see if your getting voltage at Points A and B on the first print
Being the drivers side is working I would say you have voltage to point A

When you press the brake switch you will have voltage at point D
follow the line from point D to points A and B
Its all in the MF switch
